Abstract Scope |
This study focused on the synthesis of SrAl2O4 composites using the volumetric combustion method and their thermodynamic modeling. The XRD results confirmed the successful synthesis of SrAl2O4 composite phases. Ciprofloxacin and tetracycline are harmful compounds for water sources. In this study, the adsorption of these hazardous compounds by SrAl2O4 composites was investigated. The findings were characterized using XRD, SEM, and FTIR analyses. The results demonstrated that SrAl2O4 composites showed a high adsorption capacity for both tetracycline (100%) and ciprofloxacin (80%). The pH of the solution is a crucial parameter for the adsorption process. The pH experiments indicated that the adsorption of antibiotics is higher in a basic solution environment. |
