Abstract Scope This study introduces a novel bioink composed of sodium alginate and a metallic nanopowder, aimed at 3D printing stimuli-responsive materials. The research focuses on optimizing the bioink formulation to balance printability, structural integrity, and magnetic responsiveness. The printed structures will be analyzed for their magnetic properties, which allow dynamic responses to external magnetic stimuli. Mechanical properties will be assessed through tensile tests, while biological properties will be evaluated via cytotoxicity assays and cell culture experiments to determine the bioink’s suitability for biomedical applications. This approach seeks to investigate the interaction between magnetoactive nanoparticles and the alginate matrix, with an emphasis on dispersion stability and mechanical performance under magnetic actuation. The findings aim to contribute significantly to the advancement of smart biomaterials by merging the benefits of biocompatible polymers with engineered nanoparticles. The findings could open new pathways for creating more sophisticated biomimetic systems and advance stimuli-responsive material applications.
