Abstract Scope |
In this study, the deposition of B2-structured AlCoCrFeNi-based high-entropy alloy (HEA) onto A356 aluminum alloy substrate via a self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method was aimed. The mixing of metal oxide powders (Co3O4, Cr2O3, Fe2O3, NiO, and TiO2) with metallic Al powders was used as the raw material. The effects of raw material weights and compositions on the properties of the high-entropy alloy layers were investigated. In the study, the reduction efficiencies of metal oxides were also calculated. The Vickers Hardness Test, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses were performed for characterization of the final products. |
