Abstract Scope |
Colored contact lens can be fabricated by cast molding or pad printing with appropriate polyurethane hydrogel color ink. Pad printing with color ink enabled different biomaterials design for both lens bulk materials and color ink materials while cast molding had limited biomaterials deign option for medical device application. Colored contact lens from pad printing had thinner thickness, higher oxygen permeability, capability to meet the needs from both eye front air environment and inside eye moisture request. Clinical evaluation confirmed that colored contact lend from pad printing with polyurethane hydrogel color ink had better wearing experience in terms of comfort and dryness. |
