| Abstract Scope |
Research in welding metallurgy at Lehigh University has a long history dating back to the 1940s with Professor Robert Stout. The program has enjoyed nearly 90 years of activity, but will unfortunately soon come to end due to lack of support from the university administration. This presentation will highlight some of the major activities in welding metallurgy at Lehigh that occurred over the years and briefly
mention some challenges that exist for maintaining lively metallurgy programs at US Universities in the future. |
