Abstract Scope |
With the rapid development of the electrical and electronic industries, the quality requirements for oxygen-free copper materials are becoming increasingly stringent. This paper investigates the influence of a super-gravity field on the purification of high purity metals and the solidification structure, using oxygen-free copper (TU2) as an example. Firstly, microanalysis reveals that oxygen elements in the samples are the main impurity and primarily exist in the form of cuprous oxide. Then, the effects of different gravity coefficients on the distribution of oxygen and grain size in samples were studied. The results showed that oxygen elements move in the opposite direction of the super-gravity. Additionally, the oxygen content in the sample can be significantly reduced from 31.37 ppm to 2.47 ppm at G=1000. Furthermore, it is concluded that the grain size of the sample decreases obviously with the increase of the gravity coefficient during the process of super-gravity solidification. |
