Abstract Scope |
The now usefully extensive Molten Salt Thermal Properties Database-Thermochemical (MSTDB-TC) offers the opportunity to understand multiple important phenomena in molten salt fueled nuclear reactors. This presentation will provide examples that demonstrate such useful applications of the database including supporting models that simulate structural material corrosion; providing operational guidance with regard to controlling redox potential; computing species vapor pressures as input for reactor accident analysis. Benchmarking against observed behavior and/or that provided by alternative behavior models will be discussed. |
