Abstract Scope |
Refining reactions need to be designed to correspond to changes in the process, and in non-equilibrium processes such as refining, control of reaction rates and transport phenomena is necessary. Although research on the physical properties of slag has been widely conducted, slag has been treated as a single-phase liquid. To adapt to increasingly complex processes, studies on the reactivity among solid-gas-liquid and the physical properties of those fluids have been attracted attention. The dynamic properties of solid-liquid coexisting fluids depend on the apparent viscosity, which varies with the phenomenon and the measurement method. This presentation will introduce the apparent viscosity measurement of suspension fluids by the falling ball and rotational methods. The apparent viscosities obtained for the silicone oil-polyethylene fluid by the rotational and falling-ball methods showed different values, and the change in viscosity with shear rate also showed different tendencies. |
