| Abstract Scope |
Five equiatomic medium Entropy Alloys were prepared by vacuum Induction melting, homogenized, and
recrystallized after plastic deformation. Their compositions, based on the Cantor HEA alloys: chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, and nickel, and with the removal of one element, form five alloys.
The quasi-static and dynamic mechanical properties were established and the propensity for shear localization was evaluated through hat-shaped specimens. The evolution of the structure upon mechanical deformation is compared to the mechanical properties. These MEAs have properties that match those of HEAs. |
