Abstract Scope |
Effect of stacking fault energy (SFE) on tensile property and low cycle fatigue (LCF) was investigated for FCC medium entropy alloys of Co(71-x)-Cr23-Mo6-Ni(x). The alloys with x=23~26 show high work hardening rate and large elongation. Microstructural observations and XRD results revealed that the high WHR is due to deformation twinning (x>26) and FCC-HCP martensitic transformation (x<29). Ni26 and Ni29 alloys exhibited both twinning and martensitic transformation, which led to enhanced LCF properties. The properties and microstructures for the thin wires (0.35 mmφ) and tubes of Ni26 alloy will be also reported. |
