Abstract Scope |
A constitutive framework for modeling dynamic recrystallization (DRX) in pure copper is presented, introducing the "efficacious strain" as an internal variable. The model integrates temperature and strain rate via the Zener–Hollomon parameter (Z) and predicts critical DRX parameters, including the critical strain for onset and steady-state flow stress. Verification, calibration, and validation are conducted using experimental data, demonstrating excellent agreement. This work provides a computationally efficient method for modeling DRX, suitable for integration into finite element codes. Future research will extend the model to other materials and refine the internal variable approach. |
