Abstract Scope |
This review examines the Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis (DMTA) of polyester reinforced composites with focus on their viscoelastic properties as well as thermal behaviour. Polyester composites reinforced with materials such as glass, sawdust, rice husk and other fillers have found extensive utilization in various industries due to their favourable properties and versatility. DMTA as an essential analytical technique offers valuable insights into material’s response to dynamic mechanical loads under varying temperature conditions. The review explores recent advancements in DMTA of polyester reinforced composites, influence of reinforcing materials on DMTA properties of composites and performance of various composite formulations. Furthermore, the review identifies current trends, challenges and gaps in the existing literature, while offering recommendations for future research endeavours aimed at advancing the understanding and application of polyester reinforced composites in advanced engineering applications. |
