Abstract Scope |
As we advance towards high throughput methods, advanced computational power which enables the use of AI, and the increasingly extreme demands for materials in upcoming applications, we have no created a need for understanding the ecosystem which connects materials scientists, data scientists, and application scientists/engineers. Often it is the way we communicate that prevents us from properly and effectively getting our message across.
This talk will walk through the mindset of how to understand working with multi-disciplinary teams involved in rapid materials design and synthesis. This includes understanding how data structure plays a vital role in the ability of data scientists to pragmatically use experimental results, the role of abstract thought in highly empirical experiment designs, and the mindset required to both discover revolutionary scientific phenomena while remaining pragmatic and applications focused. |
