Abstract Scope |
Magnesium has excellent specific strength and elastic modulus and is used in various industrial fields. However, Mg alloy has poor formability due to its HCP crystal structure. When adding Li to Mg alloy, if the Li content is less than 5.7% by weight, a single phase structure of α-Mg(HCP) is formed, and if it is less than 5.7% by weight, a single phase structure of α-Mg(HCP) + β-Li(BCC) is formed. Everyday organization is formed. When the Li content is in the range of 5.7 to 10.7 wt.%, it forms a dual-phase structure, and when it is over 10.7 wt.%, it has a single-phase structure of β-Li(BCC). However, as Li content increases, mechanical properties deteriorate. Research is needed to improve the mechanical properties of Mg-Li alloys.
In this study, we investigated the analysis of microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-Li-based alloy according to the addition of alloying elements. |
