Abstract Scope |
Although solar silicon does not face any foreseeable limitations in terms of resource scarcity, recovery and recycling of solar silicon and other components from end-of-life (EOL) PV panels presents potential reductions in energy and environmental impact in the manufacturing of PV panels. In this presentation, we will discuss current technical challenges associated with the recovery of solar silicon and other components for recycling and review potential approaches to overcome such challenges. A brief discussion on the economic feasibility, potential energy savings, and environmental impacts is also presented. |
