Abstract Scope |
Doped nanoparticles of ZnO were synthesized with a load of variable Fe, in order to obtain the Zn1−xFexO molar ratio. For the synthesis, sol-gel and coprecipitation methods were used, and the samples were calcined for 2 hours at 400ºC, 600ºC and 800ºC. Subsequently, they were characterized by X-ray diffraction (DRX), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and infrared spectroscopy by Fourier transform (FTIR). DRX results revealed that all the diffraction peaks obtained could be indexed according to the ZnO hexagonal phase. The average diameter of the crystalline domain of the nanostructures was estimated using the Debye-Scherr formula, and it was analyzed how much influences the synthesis method used and the calcination temperature in the size of the crystallite, relating it in turn to the amount of built-in dopon. The SEM analysis allowed to morphologically characterize the samples. The FTIR analysis was used to reveal composition and perform a superficial analysis. |
