Abstract Scope |
NiCo2O4/graphene quantum dots (NCO/GQDs) have been synthesized by hydrothermal route. The XRD spectra of NCO/GQDs composites exhibited predominant (311) orientation confirms the spinel cubic phase of NiCo2O4. SEM images show homogeneously distributed spherical particles with the size distribution of 5-9 nm, respectively evidenced that formation of QDs. TEM analysis reveals that NCOQDs are anchored on graphene sheets, which provide high surface area of 42.27 m2 g-1 and high mesopority for NCO/GQD-10 %. As a result, NCO/GQD-10% delivered the best specific capacitance of 3940 F g-1 at 0.5 A g-1 and retained a 94% capacitance after 5000 cycles. The NCO/GQD-10%//AC asymmetric supercapacitor device demonstrated outstanding energy density of 118.04 Wh kg-1 and power density of 798.76 W kg-1, respectively. The NCO/GQD-10%//NCO/GQD-10% symmetric supercapacitor device performed excellent energy density of 24.30 Wh kg-1 and power density of 500 W kg-1, respectively. |
