Abstract Scope |
While the most successful example within the SMA family (NiTi-based and Cu-based) exhibits signs of thermoplastic behavior and inadequate cyclic stability, designing more advanced compositions based on high-entropy alloy principles could be a game-changer. Recent studies highlight NiTiHfZrCu as a highly promising system, displaying superelasticity over a wide temperature range. This study investigates the influence of composition and thermal treatments on the phase transformation behavior, microstructure, and shape memory response of the multicomponent NiTiHfZrCu SMAs. |
