Abstract Scope |
In recent years, scientists have been studying materials that aim to replace synthetic fibers. Its main bets are on natural fibers, as they have several benefits, such as having low density and being biodegradable. This study is based on coconut sheath fibers, used as polymer reinforcement. This research was carried out using fiber, extracted from the coconut tree, and 5 test bodies were made, with 4,5,6 layers. Their results indicate that the specimen made with 6 layers of coconut sheath fiber has better flexural resistance. |
