Abstract Scope |
This study explores the development of Si-TiO2-P3HT-MXene photodetectors for non-invasive biomarker sensing, comparing their performance with standard Si photodetectors. The integration of MXene with Si-TiO2-P3HT heterojunctions aims to enhance sensitivity and response time in near-infrared biomarker detection, focusing on glucose as a model analyte. Initial tests with dextrose solutions reveal an extended voltage output range and increased sensitivity for Si-TiO2-P3HT-MXene photodetectors compared to standard Si counterparts (3.45-3.68 V). This improved performance suggests potential for higher resolution biomarker quantification in both medical and agricultural applications. The novel approach leverages enhanced optoelectronic properties to advance the development of highly sensitive, non-invasive biosensors, enabling more accurate real-time biomarker monitoring in plants and animals. This research paves the way for next-generation biosensing devices, offering significant improvements over current invasive techniques. |
