Abstract Scope Professor Jim Williams has been a long-time mentor and friend to Dipankar. Having first welcomed Dipankar to CMU as his postdoctoral advisor almost fifty years ago, to co-authoring with him the highly cited review on Titanium recently, they’ve known each other for a very long time. In this talk, Jim reminisces his association with Dipankar over the years and how they tackled some of the most exciting problems in the fundamental understanding of Titanium metallurgy.
