Abstract Scope |
Emission of coal ash from fired power plants causes serious environmental probrems, and thus sufficient recycling to coal ash is desired urgently. We suceeded in fabricating a novel solidified body by utilizing surface activated coal ash powders with low concentration alkaline solutions, whose process open a new strategy for the fabrication of coal ash based concrete-less cement. During the fabrication of above solidified body, silicate solution was also utilized for enhancing the silicon concentrations. Si ions have difference structures from Q0 to Q4, and It is expected that the proportion of Q components affect the solidification behavior and chemical structure in solidified bodies. Here in, in this study, four kinds of silica solution are used to make solidified bodies and evaluate for chemical and physical changes to investigate how they could affect compressive stress. |
