| Abstract Scope |
We present our investigations on understanding and designing nontoxic, antimony-based 1–2–2 p-type Zintl thermoelectric materials. First, we unveil physical origins of the varying performance and unusual transport behaviors among thermoelectric AMg2Sb2 materials (A = Ca, Sr, Sm, Yb, and Mg) [Xin Shi, Chunhua Li, …, David Broido, and Zhifeng Ren, Matter, accepted (2024)]. Next, we show a new method to design a series of 1–2–2-type Zintl compositions with an effect beneficial to thermoelectric performance at one time [Xin Shi, Shaowei Song, Guanhui Gao, and Zhifeng Ren, Science, accepted (2024)]. |
