| Abstract Scope |
Much will be presented and discussed at this Symposium honoring the work of Wole Soboyejo and the impact he has had in the field. Many presentations will be made on fatigue and fracture, additive manufacturing, cold spray, sustainable materials engineering, bioengineering and bio inspired materials science. A person’s contributions and accomplishments are influenced by many factors, including colleagues, and the opportunities that arise. However, none influences more a person’s work than their character and their persona. Context of Wole Soboyejo’s early years that established a work ethic and a drive for impactful work will be presented and set the stage for the presentations that follow.
