Abstract Scope |
The fluoride ions in metallurgical wastewater will cause harmful effects on the surrounding environment and the human health. In this paper, Zr-MOF was synthesized by solvothermal method by using Zr4+ as a metal ion and H2BDC as an organic ligand, which was applied to adsorb the low concentration of fluoride ions from metallurgical wastewater. The experimental results indicated that Zr-MOF had a good adsorption effect on fluoride ions, and the adsorption effect of Zr-MOF on fluoride ions reached 89.32% under the solution pH of 3, the initial fluoride ions concentration of 10 mg/L, and the adsorbent dose of 400 mg/L. The adsorption mechanism of fluoride ions by Zr-MOF was investigated by batch adsorption experiments, Langmuir adsorption isothermal model and adsorption kinetics model. The results showed that the Zr-MOF has a promising application in the treatment of low concentration fluoride containing metallurgical wastewater. |
