Abstract Scope The production process of green anodes is complex due to the variety of equipment and factors influencing the quality of the paste. Additionally, the operator's mode of operation affects the process. For reducing deviations and achieve greater production uniformity, the DENSICROSS system was developed. DENSICROSS introduces a new approach to anode production with its intelligent process control system. By continuously measuring and controlling the height, density, time, and pitch rate of the anodes during production, it optimizes the compaction process, minimizes defects, and maximizes efficiency. The Pitch Rate Control mechanism further enhances performance by dynamically adjusting pitch rate based on predefined criteria. This paper emphasizes the significance of DENSICROSS in enhancing anode production with a carousel vibrocompactor with three molds, achieving gains such as reducing height standard deviation by approximately 72%, decreasing pitch consumption by 168 tons per month, and increasing baked apparent density by 0.005 g/cm³.
