Abstract Scope |
This paper aims to contribute to a better working environment for welders by means of ergonomic analysis and detection of possible musculoskeletal disorder. The motion sensing infrared Xtion PRO LIVE was used, because it is considered the most appropriate for this function, since it offers advanced technology for recognition and interpretation of human movements, associated with easiness, with good interaction between the user and the device. Thus, with the help of this tool it was possible to create a program able to calculate the angle of curvature of the spine at the time who welder performs welding and analyze the effects of curvature on his health. Therewith it is possible to conclude that the device proved to be efficient and economical for the required application, since there will be no need for insertion of any other system. |
