| Abstract Scope |
For decades, a staggering amount of research has focused on the creation of new nanomaterials as their properties can be exploited for a myriad of applications, from medicine to engineering. Nanoparticles can be manufactured from the chemical approach, namely “bottom-up”, where the synthesis begins at the atomic scale, or from the engineering approach, namely “top-down”, where nanomaterials are “carved” out of larger materials. This presentation will describe green and eco-friendly routes to create multifunctional nanomaterials as a way of creating sustainable, low energy and environmentally friendly processes. |
