Abstract Scope |
Mg-2Sc-2Sr has been demonstrated in prior research to be a useful osteogenic and angiogenic biomaterial for stimulating bone regeneration. Similarly, Mg-Ca-Si bioceramics have demonstrated osteogenic characteristics. Regenerative properties, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and grain structure can all be enhanced by combining these techniques. However, the low wettability of nanoceramics presents a significant challenge in the form of agglomeration of ceramic nanoparticles during casting. In this study, ultrasound treatment of magnesium-based composite melt was conducted to deagglomerate the ceramic nanoparticles. Through the utilization of ultrasonic melt treatment, the beneficial properties of each material can be harnessed to further improve the biodegradability, mechanical, and biological properties of the composite. |
