Abstract Scope |
Corrosion is one of the most damaging and costly naturally occurring events seen today. There are several methods for predicting the corrosion rate. In the present study, Ten twin roll casted EN AW 1050 cold rolled aluminium sheets were used for natural anodizing application with different voltage, waiting time and temperature parameters. The Tafel extrapolation method and impedance spectroscopy was used for the investigations of the anodized sheet. Analyses are done in DC Corrosion Software and corrosion products have been observed at SEM. The result shows that, high anodizing voltage with lower waiting time and high temperature applied samples exhibit better corrosion resistance. |
