Abstract Scope |
With population and technological advancement, studies involving plant materials and waste have become essential. This article seeks to analyze and evaluate the compressive properties of hybrid epoxy composites reinforced with açai and chamotte in 6 different formulations, namely, 5% açai + 5% chamotte, 10% açai + 5% chamotte, 15% açai + 5% chamotte, 5% açai + 10% chamotte, 10% açai +
10% chamotte, 5% açai + 15% chamotte by volume incorporated into the epoxy resin as a dispersed phase, with the aim of combining its mechanical properties so that it can contribute to improving the performance of polymer composites according to their formulation and use, and reduce the use of materials from petroleum and thus contribute to the environment. The results showed that the hybridization of açai and chamotte uses the combined properties hardener from ceramic and flexibility from natural fibers. |
