Abstract Scope |
In this talk, I will discuss two ideas in hydrogenation separations. The first one is to leverage the covalently-link-fullerene monolayers as membranes for hydrogen separation. This idea takes advantage of the recent progress in synthesizing different phases on 2D fullerene polymer crystals at ambient pressures. The second idea is to control the binding strength of H2 with the open metal site of a metal-organic framework, by tuning the crystal field spitting and orbital occupancy of the 3d transition metal center. |
