In this presentation, the author’s perspectives on Materials Genome, coined in 2002 by the present author, will be discussed along with its implications in research, development, and manufacturing of materials in terms of several key projects in the last decade by the author and his co-workers. Examples on how it helps us understand INVAR effects  and negative thermal expansion in general  will be discussed in the framework of computational thermodynamics .
